Plains & Prints’ new collection is a love letter to the hit series, Emily in Paris

Season two of Emily in Paris was nothing but a whirlwind of unexpected twists. Living in the city of love will definitely give someone’s love life some drama, and we’re definitely seeing it happen in Emily’s. But besides Paris being the city of love, it’s also one of the major fashion cities in the world—a detail the series never fails to remind us with through their line of stylish ensembles. We have seen it all from Emily’s playful and dynamic numbers to Camille’s chic and classy Parisian outfits—a fashion that embraces a style so personal and unique.

It’s refreshing to see such a movement of self-expression and confidence in a series shown globally. It’s a movement that a homegrown brand in the Philippines supports over the years, where women can be comfortable in their own style as they wear their pieces.

Plains & Prints has always explored concepts that embrace one’s love for fashion and travel—a trait they very much resonate with Emily in Paris. And to celebrate the upcoming third season, the homegrown brand sets the tone of their collection on the City of Lights, Paris.

Just like Emily, the new collection explores playful colors and prints, a new elegance that embraces individuality and diversity. Roxanna Farillas shares, “Fashion was a device in the series that allowed each character to be easily identifiable, to showcase their personalities, and at the same time, allow us to dream and relate with them.”

The collection reflects the three personalities of the trio, Emily, Camille, and Mindy. It consists of colorful and dynamic designs such as the Barbie pink dress that reflect Emily’s adventurous style, while Mindy was interpreted with prints constructed in a Bohemian-like manner. And lastly, classic Parisian staples such as the marinière (the striped shirt) are included for a fool-proof Camille aesthetic.

So as we wait to see who’s the perfect match for Emily in season three, there is no doubt that the new collection paired with the series makes a pretty good match to end the year. Where it’s all about the love—maybe the drama—and the fashion, we’re also learning how to be dauntless in our style as Emily lives out her life with flair by her side.
