Thousands of Filipino fans filled the SM Mall of Asia Arena to feel the decibel-breaking excitement as local retail giant Bench brings Korean superstar, Park Seo-Joon to the Philippines.
As the hallyu wave continues to dominate the country, we are welcomed with fan meetings and tours from Korean actors and Kpop groups here and there. Just recently, local retail brand Bench brought its newest Global Benchsetter—Park Seo-Joon.
Looking forward to meeting his international fans, Park Seo-Joon was ultimately grateful for the opportunities outside his work in Korea. Park Seo-Joon admits he was uncertain with the particular number of Filipino fans he has, yet he was as excited as how his fans were for the fan meeting event.
As Park Seo-Joon appeared on stage and waved hello to his fans, the entire crowd went screaming non-stop. Since it’s his first encounter with his Filipino fans, fans got to know his personal life better, what’s currently on his mind, and even ask him questions up close.
Intensifying the fun and excitement, playing Pinoy Henyo with his fans, giving warm hugs, taking a selfie, receiving a sound recording were few of the activities that some lucky fans got to experience. Also, three fans from the crowd who got picked, brought home the shirt that Park Seo-Joon wore for his Bench shoot.
Being the new face of Bench, Park Seo-Joon sees it as a way to introduce the clothing brand to Korean consumers as well, describing his personal style as something comfortable. He also noted that self-confidence, understanding your own body type, and trying on different clothing can help you identify what looks good on you.
When asked if he’s ready for a Hollywood debut, Park Seo-Joon said he has no concrete plans as of the moment. He’s still not fluent in English but bringing his acting prowess to Hollywood is something that he has been thinking about.
Since exercise is one of his great hobbies apart from hanging out with friends, it’s obvious how Park Seo-Joon maintains his built despite the busy schedule. He even shares how he worked out 8 hours a day for 3 months as preparation for a certain role.
Park Seo-Joon is known for his roles in the Korean drama series such as She Was Pretty, Fight For My Way, What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim, and movies Midnight Runners and Divine Fury. Currently pre-occupied with another project to watch out for, the Korean superstar is set to continue filming for his upcoming role once he returns to Korea. Park Seo-Joon gives a sneak peek on how his character can be a source of comfort to anyone who can relate to it.
