Michael Leyva celebrated his decade-long feat with his family and friends at the National Museum of Natural History.
It has been a decade since Michael Leyva began his journey as a designer. While the talent is in the bloodline, it was losing his brother Brian that brought more magic to Michael’s craftsmanship.
10 years in the industry is no easy feat, and to commemorate all the experiences that marked his journey as a designer, Michael released a 50-piece collection called Hiraya just last October 10, 2022. From the grandiose setting to the intricately-designed creations, Hiraya was a spectacle to behold.
Last night’s celebration would not have been complete without the support of his friends who have donned his creations in their own journeys as well. With that said, here are the big names who were in attendance at Michael Leyva’s 10th Anniversary Gala Fashion Show:
Pia Wurtzbach
Our very own Miss Universe 2015 opened Hiraya with a caped ensemble that revealed a cut-out beaded gown, accentuating her curves.
Vice Ganda
Just in time to celebrate his first year as the better half of his partner Ion, Vice donned a romantic off-shoulder bridal number with a matching veil. The look was equal parts sweet and sultry.
Anne Curtis
The dyosa closed the show with the “Five Centavo Terno”—the design of the late Brian Leyva. This piece, according to Michael, was his tribute to his brother who continues to serve as his inspiration for all his works.
Darren Espanto
The singer graced the momentous event clad in a woven-like number.
Sanya Lopez
Sanya opted for a halter-twist velvet number for her attendance at Hiraya.
Tim Yap
Tim donned a patterned, floral blazer, adding pizzazz to the black formal dress code.
Dr. Aivee Teo
The dermatologist wore a classic black ensemble for the event, bringing her husband Dr. Z Teo and daughter Keli along.
Erik Santos
Erik, who performed “This is the Moment” to officially start the show, was in a beaded white number as he paraded down National Museum of Natural History’s zigzag ramps.
Alden Richards
The actor tailored his style to perfection by following the black formal theme of the event.
Regine Velasquez
Ending the exhibition of designs with equal parts of nostalgia and happiness, Regine sang “I Believe” in a beaded tube creation with tulle cape.
