From strutting on the pageant stage, Pia Wurtzbach makes her fashion runway debut in Paris
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach may have already notched several achievements in fashion’s must-do list such as walking the red carpet at the amFAR Cannes Gala and Cannes Film Festival, and becoming the first Filipina ambassador for Bvlgari, and the face of beauty giant L’Oreal’s skincare and makeup line. But another thing she checked off this morning was making her debut for L’oreal Paris’s Le Défilé Walk Your Worth runway.

Since hanging up her sash, Wurtzbach has emerged as a global sensation of influence and a bona fide style icon. But her fashion stardom truly reached new heights with her runway debut for Paris Fashion Week—she shared the stage with celebrities and L’Oreal’s biggest global ambassadors Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne. Now, the Filipino-German beauty queen-turned-personality is fashion’s newest queen.
Earlier this morning, she sashayed down the catwalk in a black mermaid-cut dress in velvet with a low, sweetheart neckline, and the structured and lined bodice with a column silhouette. Luscious pink crepe drapes formed over the sleeves, unfurling like petals while she moves. The rosette accents conveyed a moment out of a fairytale, yet her composure and poise kept her visage grounded. Her walk was truly reminiscent of her Miss Universe stride.
Wurtzbach’s relationship with L’Oreal Paris Philippines has reached new heights over the past year, with the fashion maven starring as the face of the brand’s “Sayang? No, #ImWorthIt” skincare campaign in March.
