The coronation night united queens from various Binibining Pilipinas titles in a historic celebration
At the Binibining Pilipinas Coronation Night, stars aligned, universes merged, and queens assembled. For the first time, the four Filipino Miss Universe winners—1969’s Gloria Diaz, 1973’s Margie Moran, 2015’s Pia Wurtzbach, and 2018’s Catriona Gray—came together. They united in a grand gathering that brought together queens from the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) spectrum, spanning titles such as Miss International, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Globe, and Miss Supranational, alongside the once-held Miss Universe. Like celestial bodies in a cosmic ballet, each queen, a universe unto herself, shone brightly, their combined radiance dazzled the night and reminded all of their legacy.

Among the past queens who illuminated the stage were Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul, Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Obeñita, the Miss International queens—1979’s Melanie Marquez, 2013’s Bea Rose Santiago, and 2016’s Kylie Verzosa.
The lineup of hosts sparkled like a crown: Miss Grand International 2016 1st Runner-Up Nicole Cordoves, Binibining Pilipinas World 1993 Ruffa Gutierrez, and Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2014 MJ Lastimosa, alongside Verzosa and Gray.
A constellation of this year’s 40 candidates then graced the stage, performing to a mashup of Rihanna’s “Diamonds” and Shirley Bassey’s “Diamonds Are Forever” in shimmering silver sheer ensembles, reflecting the brilliance of their predecessors, and even their own.
On its 60th year, the historic pageant brought forth a royal reunion like no other. It celebrates a sisterhood that rises and will continue to rise in solidarity. They say when a new supreme rises, the old one fades away. But as these queens have shown, they are timeless, as their crowns are eternal. Together, they prove that true queens are forever, their legacy a constellation that guides and inspires future generations.
