The Popstar Royalty is the face of the Filipino talent and style at the Billboard Women in Music

Marking another milestone in her two-decade career in the industry, Sarah Geronimo takes her force to Los Angeles for the Billboard Women in Music event at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. The Popstar Royalty is the first female Filipino artist to receive the Global Force Award recognition.

Geronimo graced the occasion in full feminine force as she donned a pink Michael Cinco gown with a corseted lining, as well as a layered choker set from JMA Jewelry. Adding a rocker side to her ensemble, she opted for a wolf cut style courtesy of Raymond Santiago and a soft glam makeup look by Gela Laurel.

Winning women

Along with the singer-producer, other artists such as Brazilian pop star Luíza Sonza and Italian singer-songwriter Annalisa join the roster of honorees for the said event. This year, Billboard honors Colombian reggaeton and pop singer Karol G as the Women of the Year. Meanwhile, Charli XCX, Ice Spice, Kylie Minogue, Marren Morris, Tems, Victoria Monét, Young Miko, and NewJeans are also at the occasion for their respective recognitions. 

For more than two decades, Sarah has influenced and impacted the lives of Filipinos through her force in the entertainment industry—a journey Billboard Philippines has taken into consideration for choosing Geronimo. Apart from her chart-topping releases and sold-out concerts, she has also starred in a number of films and series throughout her career.

Since 2007, Women In Music is an annual event presented by Billboard in its pursuit to recognize women whose work and contribution have inspired generations to dream and flourish in their respective fields, especially in the music industry.
