They say mothers know best—thank God Mommy Divine knew her daughter, Sarah Geronimo, is one
For Sarah Geronimo, her newest accolade as a Global Force Award honoree is not her success alone. At the blue carpet of the Billboard Women in Music event at Los Angeles, she paid a tribute to another woman who has always been with her in her journey to stardom—her own mother, Mommy Divine Geronimo.

“Women, especially others out there, shout out to my mother, Mommy Divine Geronimo, you are the best, you are my hero! I love you very much,” the singer spoke, looking towards the camera. “All the sacrifices that a mother has to do for their child, it’s mind-blowing.”
In 2020, it was reported that Geronimo’s mother was not in favor of Sarah’s wedding to Matteo. Although there were some news that the two have patched things up overtime, the parents of the singer-producer have not been spotted in any of her performances recently, including her 20th anniversary concert.
Geronimo-Guidicelli, however, continued to show her gratitude to her parents. At the said concert, she dedicated “Habang May Buhay” to Daddy Delfin. Meanwhile, she wrote a heartfelt caption for Mommy Divine on Instagram to celebrate Mother’s Day. “Happy Mother’s day po, [M]ama. Walang [hanggang] po na pasasalamat para sa walang katumbas na pag-aaruga at pagmamahal.”
In 2019, Sarah and her father appeared on Magandang Buhay. “Sobrang salamat ako sa pagtiya-tiyaga niya, sa pagsunod niya sa amin. Hanggang ngayon, suportado niya pa rin kami. Sobra niya kaming mahal,” Daddy Delfin spoke.
