Loveteam on everyone’s lips, #MayWard—Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber—share their useful yet unusual tips on taking that perfect selfie!
Selfie-obsessed? We feel you! And while we all have mastered taking our own photos (after all, who better to take our photos than ourselves, right?), there’s always room for improvements. We’ve all heard of the usual tips on taking the perfect selfie—find the best light, tilt to this angle, use flash (or don’t use flash), apply filters, choose your background, and adjust your camera settings—but we’re sure that you haven’t come across these tips shared by loveteam du jour #MayWard!
We sat down with Vivo ambassadors Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber last night (who was freshly inducted to their growing family of endorsers) and asked them how they enjoy their Vivo V9 and what’s their advice for taking the best selfies.
Their reaction on Edward being the newest Vivo ambassador:
Maymay: Feeling great! (laughs)
Edward: Wasn’t expecting it. I thought they only want Maymay, but I was really surprised when I heard about it. To be part (of the ambassadors), with so many different artists that I look up to and I get to see and I know personally, it feels like family even if I just got into it.
Maymay: ‘Pag nag-seselfie ako, gusto niya (Edward) sumali. Ngayon, pwedeng-pwede na siya sumali! Kasi gustong-gusto niya yung camera.
Edward: Pwede na!
Maymay: Ngayon magkasama na kami! Yey!
Their favorite features on the new V9:
Edward: Mahilig ako manuod ng mga Youtube videos. Unang una yung V9 may 64gb memory on the phone, so sa app mismo ng Youtube pwede ka magdownload ng mga videos tapos pwede mataas na yung quality kasi mataas yung storage. So that’s the best part. It’s so clear and it’s really easy to use and one of the most crisp-looking phones.
Maymay: ‘Yung camera talaga. ‘Yung dalawang camera! Kasi mas clear siya. Tsaka yung group selfie, may group selfie na siya.
Their tips on taking that perfect selfie:
Edward: Look into the camera! Kasi parang a lot of people don’t think about that.
Maymay: Oh my god, yah! (laughs)
Edward: As in, tumitingin sila sa mukha nila sa screen. They don’t look at the camera and it looks awkward sometimes kasi you’re looking down there. So, look at the camera!
Maymay: At tsaka yung tip ko, dapat mag-toothbrush sila bago mag-selfie. Kasi sobrang clear ng Vivo makikita yung yellow dito sa gilid. (laughs)
So take it from Edward and Maymay and make sure you look at the camera and brush your teeth before taking that perfect selfie!
