Empowering Women Through Beauty: A Skin House Commitment

Some people say that beauty is skin deep—superficial and unreal. However, beauty also attributes to good health, confidence, and power. With a strong connection between looking our best and feeling capable and empowered, there are several ways in which our outer appearance may affect our emotions and self-esteem.  

Self-esteem profoundly affects emotions and goals, and physical appearance is closely tied to this. Blemishes, fine lines, and wrinkles can make us feel self-conscious, so taking steps to take care of ourselves and make the changes we desire to improve our overall emotional well-being. 

With that thought in mind, Skin House Beauty and Laser Clinic continues to empower women through beauty. The clinic is an advanced medical aesthetics center that offers a wide array of non-invasive cosmetic procedures. Established by Joanne Yu back in 2011, she first established Skin House to provide basic aesthetic needs to her clients. “Sit still, Look Pretty” in gold neon lights greeted the lovely guests donning all-white summer ensembles to elegant champagne dresses. With gleaming lights and aromatic flowers, the clinic was in full bloom. The intimate and exclusive event accommodated a diverse group of entrepreneurs, digital creators, and models who defied time with their smooth and glowing skin.

Pouring in at around 2:00 p.m., the invitees enjoyed an early afternoon of sumptuous snacks that matched the dainty feel of the event. With chicken floss, pandan bread rolls, tuna sandwiches, and mini apple strudels on the table, everyone can lounge away while taking a delicious bite. 

Half an hour later, the guests were ushered to the event space beside the clinic for a short program. The wall of flowers with a cream couch enticed the audience to have their photos taken while waiting for the speakers.

Eventually, IC Apostol, Merz Aesthetics Field Sales Manager, took the floor to share a few words about this partnership with Skin House. “Thank you for having us as your partner, and on behalf of Merz Aesthetics®, we wish you to be even more successful and more prosperous in the years to come. We look forward to stronger partnerships and support you in helping our patients look better, feel better, and live better.”

Merz Aesthetics senior brand manager Sam Gallardo called on Dr. Stephen Claudio, Medical Affairs Manager for a short Ultherapy® talk. “Ultherapy® is the gold standard of non-invasive skin lifting and tightening. And when we say it’s the gold standard, it’s not just a marketing term for us. It’s the gold standard because it has been declared so by medical experts across the globe. So Ultherapy® is an ultrasound-based machine that is safe for visualization. It also develops heat underneath your face to produce collagen,” shares Dr. Stephen. 

Ultherapy® has been given FDA clearance, meaning the device is guaranteed safe and effective because it has undergone an extensive review, with several medical publications submitted to the FDA for their review. 

“The intent of Ultherapy® is the same, with the obvious benefit of being non-surgical. You don’t have to open your face anymore, and it is capable of reaching that layer and ultimately producing new collagen,” the doctor elaborated, showing before and after photos of patients. After a dialogue with Dr. Stephen, Ms. Joanne Yu of Skin House expressed her gratitude to their clients and partners. She said that it had been 11 years since Skin House began its journey in the beauty industry, and they have gone a long way. “We are proud to say that we’ve partnered with Ultherapy to ensure we empower everyone through beauty. Together, we aim to help you feel confident, beautiful, and unstoppable. As we celebrate our relaunch, we would like to thank our loyal clients and partners for their unwavering support.”

To also give the guests a few ideas on what the experience was like in Skin House and how Ultherapy® mattered to patients, Skin House’s Dr. Kariza shared her thoughts. “In this age, like most of my clients, they would like to use non-invasive rather than more invasive procedures. The event had been nothing but illuminating. For the rest of the afternoon, everyone was able to socialize, take more photos, eat and relax, and try the different treatments. 

Looking forward to the future, Joanne can see that Skin House will grow, so they wanted to cater to the younger market. They chose Ultherapy® because they wanted something that worked. Based on Dr. Kariza, results can be seen after two months. The recommended age would be from the late twenties, but ideally around the thirties and above range. 

Enhancing our appearance is also a form of self-care.
