In this film, the audience will get to know the character of Marco Gumabao as Victor, the charismatic magician. He has captivated audiences with his one of a kind magic show with elements of horror. One of his employees is Yuri, a reserved young woman played by Bela Padilla. She never joined their company dinners, which is why when Victor visits Yuri’s home, he discovers that she possesses a unique gift—the ability to see and communicate with ghosts.
The trailer presented the fantasy-filled premise of the film. It showcased Bela Padilla’s acting prowess, which fits perfectly with her role as Yuri. Spellbound is a Viva Films adaptation of a 2011 South Korean film. It is also known as My Girlfriend Can See Ghosts, portrayed by Crash Landing On You’s Son Ye-Jin and Lee Min Ki as Ma Joo-Go.
