The latest collection from Hermès can very well help you enliven your holiday mood as you head out for all the upcoming festivities in style.
Pierre Hardy has been in the fashion industry for decades now. The French shoe designer has already made a name for himself because of his brilliant creations that many sophisticated Parisians have worn and are still wearing. In fact, the moment he was with Hermes since 1990, he has climbed up the ladder of the luxury maison up to the highest title: creative director for women’s and men’s shoe collection and the Haute Bijouterie.
Perhaps his success could very well be credited to how he successfully launches one collection after another. And in doing so, his creations have always reflected this constant quest for innovative creativity and contemporary elegance—a crucial factor as we are now living in a fast-paced reality wherein countless changes happen every minute.
In fact, being in the midst of a pandemic alone requires us to always predict the coming trends, hence, experimentation is key. According to Pierre Hardy, “more than anything, it’s art that inspires me the most because it’s the ultimate laboratory of experimenting new creations.”
As he is also famed for his fascination for cinematographic images, movement, and scenography, all of these elements can be seen in everything that he designs. So, for the launch of Hermès’ spring/summer 2021 shoe collection, it was only fitting for the French brand to enchant everyone by giving an Augmented Reality experience—in line with the maison’s “Innovation in the Making” theme—even if we’re oceans away from each other.
With that said, he enthralled everyone with an invitation on a journey with nautical and Mediterranean influences. The augmented reality experience brought us to a whimsical place where we were able to step into our dream holiday destination and venture through the Hermes swimming pool as two pairs of shoes from the collection walked up and down the concrete steps.
And of course, as it’s grounded on heritage, craftsmanship, and timelessness with innovation at the forefront, the latest footwear collection highlights graphic, vibrant, and structural pieces, which is just in time for the coming colorful festivities.
For women, there’s a distinctive Mediterranean spirit with a play on colors and materials, along with a reinterpretation of the house’s iconic codes. The men’s collection, on the other hand, brought to life formal and more relaxed looks. And if you’re looking for your annual couple sneakers, fret not, because they have a strong sneaker offering for both the ladies and the gents.
