While nobody is more updated in fashion than Millennial celebrities, we take a closer look at their recent fits to take note on how to stay cool this season.
While we may have already entered the traditionally breezy ber months, it just seems so peculiar that the climate—even if there are a few rain showers here and there—still feels hot. In fact, a lot of us are constantly dumbfounded, especially hearing the news report that the heat index goes as high as 40 degrees celsius. So, perhaps it’s safe to say that it’s definitely not just us who are experiencing the warm weather, if not, bipolar weather).
While going through our index of what’s hot, we’ve noticed some Millennial celebrities who are dressing up to beat the heat on our social media timelines. It’s typical for anybody who’s living in a tropical country to be used to warmth, but we’re allowed a modicum of bemoaning right? Now that our frustrations with the bipolar weather are out of the way, the next best thing to deal with things, aside from actively trying to curb climate change, is to take style inspirations from some of our favorite stars. From bralettes to cropped tops, here’s how you can fashionably pass through (hopefully) the last wave of heat.
Catriona Gray
First on the list is, of course, our September 2020 cover star Catriona Gray. The beauty queen defines the true meaning of confidence in simplicity by wearing a baby pink wrap cropped top complemented with subtle make-up.
Nadine Lustre
Nadine Lustre is no stranger to wearing clothing that commands sensuality. Apart from a sense of daring and adventure, she sure knows how to effortlessly ace this sophisticatedly laidback fit that cannot be easily pulled off by everyone. Here, she donned a champagne-hued bralette and paired it with cream baggy pants. (Cal the doggo not included, but well-appreciated, of course.)
Bela Padilla
Channeling the persisting energy of the 90s, Bela Padilla stuns us with her take on cropped tops. If you’re not that comfortable with a sultry outfit, then follow Bela’s lead and team your cropped t-shirt with overalls in a similar shade. By doing this, you’re only showing a little hint of skin.
Pia Wurtzbach
If you’re a real style stalker, you’ll notice that corset tops have been all over the world of high fashion. Keeping up with this trend is Pia Wurtzbach, who wore this classic yet striking white corset top matched with beige wide culottes.
Maine Mendoza
Last, but definitely not the least in our list of style inspos is Maine Mendoza, proving it’s always best to beat the heat with a bright and colorful look. She wore this striped blue wrap bralette paired with white pants and accessorized with a necklace. After all, summer is forever in the Philippines, right?
