While Scandinavian brand Monki has successfully dominated the European market, they’re finally expanding their reach in Southeast Asia, specifically the Philippines. So, be ready to indulge yourself with Monki’s signature fashion collections described as “Scandi-cool-meets-Asian-street-style.”
Empowering young women and contributing to a better world is a part of the brand’s everyday ethos since 2006. Hence, the label has always wanted to enter the Philippine fashion scene with its creative collections, strong brand values, and inspiring store concept.
“[Our] mission is to empower young women everywhere and help them feel good about themselves,” Monki’s Managing Director Jennie Dahlin Hansson explained. Whether they address beauty norms, body rights, equality, or identity topics, the Monki brand experience aims to inspire everyone to feel great just the way they are.
In addition to that, the Swedish fast-fashion retail shared that their space will be transformed into a world of glitter, mirrored walls, and scalloped detailing. All of which are the design features unique to each store, and unique to the Monki world. “We can’t wait to get to know a new market and welcome new customers to our global family,” Hansson excitedly shared.
The new Monki stores will be located in Manila, at two of the largest shopping centers in the Philippines. The brand will premier in the SM Megamall, followed closely by the opening in SM Mall of Asia.
