Tennis Legend Roger Federer Earns His 100th Career Title

Proving that he truly is the G.O.A.T., Roger Federer has finally earned the 100th ATP title of his career.

After dominating one tournament after another that led him to accumulate 20 grand slams, it looks like Roger Federer is far from slowing down. The 37-year-old athlete just made a historic win after beating Stefanos Tsitsipas at the Dubai Championships.

Not only did he bagged his 100th career title, but this was also his eighth triumph for the said tournament. “To win my eighth title in Dubai in combination with 100, it’s great, absolutely,” he said in his on-court interview.

And it only seemed like that stars have aligned just for him to acquire this milestone in Dubai—the city he often called home as it’s where he has been doing all his training during the ATP season.

It has been a long wait for Roger since bringing home his 99th tour-level trophy last October in Basel, Switzerland. But it was all worth it as he is now the second man to reach a century of tournament wins after Jimmy Connors.

Roger Federer has had a long run since 2001 in Milan, and we only hope that he’ll be back again next year. But for now, let him enjoy his victories. Echoing his own words, “it’s an absolute dream come true right now.”
