Honoring some of the year’s best performances in film and television, the 2021 SAG Awards took an intimate and non-tradition approach this year with a pre-recorded and no-host event. Compared to the Golden Globes, the SAG awards are known to be an accurate predictor for the Oscars as nominees and winners are chosen by their colleagues. It’s the awards show by the actor for the actors as many would describe it. That’s why this year is one for the books as four film acting categories were won by Daniel Kaluuya, the late Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis, and Youn Yuh-jung, making it the first time since the SAG Awards began in 1995 that these awards were all won by people of color

New collections, bold colors that signal hope, and a focus on femininity such as lace and applique details made the show’s fashion equally enthralling. Here are the 10 stars that nailed the at-home red carpet with the best glamorous looks we’ve seen this season.

Viola Davis

Wearing a custom chartreuse neon green and silver Louis Vuitton gown, Viola Davis brought light to the awards show but most importantly to the future of film as she took home Best Female Actor in a leading role.

Cynthia Erivo

Cynthia Erivo loves the dramatic and bold but for her red-carpet look at the SAG it’s all about the modern classics. Looking queenly in the Spring 2021 Alexander McQueen blush corset gown contrasted with combat boots for a touch of attitude.

Elle Fanning

Someone who knows how to have fun on the red carpet is Elle Fanning who wore an 80’s inspired pink and yellow Gucci sequin suit. The young rising actress was also nominated as part of “The Great” cast for Best Comedy Ensemble.

Anya Taylor-Joy

We’ve lost count on the number of well-deserved awards that Anya Taylor-Joy has racked up for her role in Queen’s Gambit but what we can’t seem to forget is her impeccable style. For the 2021 SAG Awards, she wore a nude and black lace dress by Vera Wang with accessories that are $800,000 worth in Tiffany & Co. diamonds – a fashion checkmate indeed.

Nicola Coughlan

The surprise of the night was Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan who chose to steer clear of pastel floral gowns and goes for full gothic glamour. The Christian Siriano custom semi-sheer lace gown complete with cape detailing shows that she is a debutante not to be messed with.

Jurnee Smollett

A true knockout within the 2021 SAG award fashion is the Bordeaux taffeta Zuhair Murad gown worn by Jurnee Smollett. The sweetheart bodice, billowing train, and ruby Bvlgari jewels, how can we ever take our eyes off this number?

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman is a veteran when it comes to awards shows which is why she knows that simple glam never fails. The SAG award nominee is a radiating beauty in her backyard wearing an intricate beaded Georgio Armani gown with a fishtail braid and pretty in pink makeup.

Maria Bakalova

Donning gothic and feminine opulence, Maria Bakalova is also one of the breakout style stars this season. She wore Dior’s two-toned chessboard gown with handmade silk roses inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

Kaley Cuoco

Making a statement in a hot pink Prabal Gurung gown, Kaley Cuoco showed us how to wear a bold color on the carpet. She kept all the attention on the dress by pairing it with minimal diamond accessories and matching Louboutin stilettos.

Helen Mirren

Red is a power color and Helen Mirren was able to pull it off twice. Our favorite was the form-fitting red gown with pink puff sleeves by Badgley Mischka that made her look ageless as a three-time SAG winner.
