The pilot episode

Considered the ultimate moment, The Flash‘s pilot easily established itself as a standout among superhero dramas. It perfectly combines the tone and atmosphere of Arrow with a classic comic book narrative. One episode is all it takes to prove that The CW’s first Arrow spinoff is capable of succeeding on its own. Moreover, we were introduced to endearing characters like Candice Patton’s Iris West, Jesse L. Martin’s Joe West, Tom Cavanagh’s Harrison Wells, and, of course, Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen.

Cisco’s power departure

Cisco Ramon has always been The Flash’s ideal sidekick, thanks to his superior intellect and technological prowess. Then, things took a surprising yet exciting turn when he developed superhuman abilities and became The Vibe. That’s why it was a big surprise to the show’s audience when he decided to take the metahuman cure and relinquish his superpowers. It was a powerful moment, beautifully portrayed as Cisco’s closest friend, Caitlin Snow, administered the cure. In retrospect, Cisco’s decision to completely accept his role as the team’s brain marked a significant turning point in his character’s development.

The Flash-Supergirl musical

A welcome change of pace from the show’s dark third season was provided by the musical crossover episode featuring both The Flash and Supergirl. After falling under the spell of the Music Meister, Barry and Kara were forced to sit through a movie musical. This led to delightful and heartwarming musical performances that are truly enjoyable. Although the resolution may seem cheesy to some, there is no denying that the episode cleverly embraces and parodies the conventions of movie musicals, adding a meta twist to the enjoyment.

Iris as The Flash

Iris West-Allen was truly one of the show’s standout characters. She began her career as a journalist, but soon proved to be a vital member of Team Flash due to her strength and adaptability. And what about a defining occasion in her life? For a short time, she was The Flash herself. Rocking a stylish purple leather jacket, she quickly mastered the speedster’s abilities, surpassing even Barry’s learning curve. It was an iconic and empowering moment, proving that women can excel as speedsters, too.

Flash vs. Arrow

The predicted confrontation between Barry and Oliver was much more exciting and spectacular than anyone could have imagined. When Barry’s powers were manipulated by Roy Bivolo, despite not having superhuman abilities, Oliver had no choice but to put on his suit and step in. Amazingly, Oliver matched Barry’s pace and managed to hold him down until he was back to normal. Among all the fight scenes in the show, this particular moment will forever be remembered as one of the most unforgettable, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats.
