Taking the classic suit up a notch, the latest trend in menswear is going backless. Here are some who have been spotted rocking this modern twist on a timeless classic

Backless fashion for men isn’t an entirely new concept, with notable examples including Timothée Chalamet’s red halterneck at the Venice Film Festival and backless designs featured in the Dior Men AW22 collection. But what’s really interesting is how this style is making its way into men’s suits. Recently, there’s been a surge of backless suits spotted both locally and internationally, proving that this trend is becoming increasingly mainstream. Let’s take a closer look at some of the men who are rocking this trend.

At the recent Star Magic Hot Summer 2023 event, BGYO’s Gelo Rivera was a true head-turner in his red backless suit by Blackcode Manila. While he paired it with a black shirt underneath, Gelo still managed to exude a sizzling appeal. To add even more edge to his look, he accessorized with a studded chain necklace and draped multiple chains over his body.
