Seems like the sneaker trend is far from over. Joining in the buzz is none other than the comeback of the Bally Champion sneakers.
Originally introduced in 1991, the Bally Champion sneakers quickly became a grand slam favorite. And that’s because of Swiss tennis stars Jakob Hlasek and Marc Rosset who wore the court shoes on their way to winning the Grand Slam at the French Open in 1992.
Recently, the Swiss luxury brand has finally dusted off its archival shoes for the new generation to enjoy. The Champion is a like-for-like revival of the original. It also has a multi-component rubber outsole and herringbone mold.
To make it fit for a posh sport like Tennis, the well-loved storied shoes features an EVA midsole for enhanced cushioning and comfort. Moreover, it has a lace-up style and perforated accents, and a breathable mesh lining and constructing color details. As for the tongue, it showcases the archival Bally Tennis logo.
Part of the storied brand’s relaunching of its classic Champion sneakers, Bally initiates its “Champions are Made” campaign. It’s all about celebrating the challenging yet empowering experiences that develop and define us.
