Since we’re on the topic of style, it’s time to do a quick breakdown of what Catriona and Davika wore to the event. We were even able to get some inside scoop on how they were able to complete the look with their hair and makeup.
Catriona Gray
Catriona was spotted wearing a body-hugging neon pink dress that had a simple finish and she topped it off with Bvlgari’s Serpenti top handle bag. The simplistic look gave the perfect spotlight to the Bvlgari pieces she wore for the night. She went for the classics as she had on the Maison’s signature Serpenti creations. The necklace was done in white gold, making the emeralds pop, while the Serpenti Scaglie watch gave her look a nice touch of blue.
Catriona Gray’s beauty moments can’t be left unmentioned, too. According to her trusted makeup artist, Jelly Eugenio, he envisioned her wearing the coveted fresh look. “Just a little eyeliner and a soft pink lip like the Dior Lipstick in 654 to match the dress,” he revealed. As for the hair? “The high ponytail for me is her go-to hairstyle after she won Ms. Universe. [It] gives her a snatched face, which suits her snatched eyes,” Paul Nebres detailed. The celebrity hairstylist did not miss sharing the tools and products he used to achieve the look. “I used the Dyson Corrale Straightener and Livingproof Hairspray.”
For the gala, the beauty queen continued on with her neon palette with her two-piece orange ensemble designed by Dia Ali. It featured various finishes, such as the twisted strap, meticulous folds on the top and torso, asymmetrical cut on the hips, and the bias cut skirt. The pop of color surprisingly balanced the hues of the jewelry she wore from Bvlgari. Her High Jewellery necklace had a drop of briolette paraiba tourmaline and 16 ruby beads. She had on the Serpenti watch that mimicked the rubies of her necklace, Emerald and Pave diamond ring, and the Divas’ Dream earrings with emeralds to complete the look.
In the realm of her glam for the gala, Jelly Eugenio took her look in a sultry direction. “Key points are dewy skin and bronzy eyes,” he explained. “It’s perfect for a sexy Mediterranian night inspired by the new jewelry collection.” As for the lips? The celebrity makeup artist made his lipstick cocktail using a Huda Beauty Lip Liner in Terracotta, Romand Juicy Lasting Tint in Mulled Peach, and MAC Cosmetics Squirt Lip Plumping Gloss Stick in Heat Sensor. Meanwhile, Paul Nebres opted for slicked-back hair to complement her look. “We want the hairstyle to highlight the earring and the necklace. I added extensions from Glam Seamless for extra length and volume,” he shared. “I finished the look with hair oil from Living Proof for the texture and a shine spray from Color Wow to give thar wet-look and shiny illusion.”
Davika Hoorne
To contrast the dynamic colors of Catriona, the Thai actress opted for a minimalist look with the white mini hooded dress from Ferragamo, and this definitely made her chosen Bvlgari pieces pop even more. Decorated with emeralds and sapphires, this specific set, named after Roman emperor Diocletian, is part of their new Mediterranea collection.
There’s something quite special about her glam that made her look simply immaculate. Decoding the work of her trusted makeup artist, her soft matte base was elevated with a minimal swish of bronzer and highlight. As for the standout details? The matte black eyeliner drawn in the inner corner of her eyes to achieve the coveted snatched look and her take on a coral nude lipstick.
Elsewhere, hairstylist Noppasit Cheerakulltananan reveals that the vision for the look is something that is simple with a touch of detail. “We left some hair around the face frame to make the whole look more fun and gorgeous,” he shared. “For this look, she must wear a hood, so we tied a hair bun so that it would stay on her head perfectly.”
Davika continued on with her sleek style by wearing a Miss Sohee piece from the Spring 2023 collection. The figure-hugging black dress featured a plunging neckline and attachments at the hips that were decorated with black and blue embellishments. The understated finish gave way to the brilliant hues of the Bvlgari jewels she wore from their Eden Garden of Wonders collection. The Blossoming Beauty necklace had emeralds for its main gem, while pink, blue, and purple hued stones were added to give accent to the design.
Her hair and makeup look for the gala deserves equal attention, too. Makeup was kept minimal with her signature flawless soft matte base as the heart of her look. Swishes of barely-there nude hues dressed her lids with a classic wing liner that defined her eyes. Meanwhile, a beautiful wash of pink hues sat perfectly on her cheeks. The result? A romantic yet natural-looking flush. Lastly, a swipe of satin nude lipstick completed her gala glam.
