A longtime admiration
Since her Annaliza days, Andrea had been openly declaring her crush towards Daniel as she never shied away from admitting this in interviews. Over the years, the fangirl in her also collected a number of photos with her crush, as well as his previous on and off-screen partner, Kathryn.
In 2020, she even paid homage to Kath’s Making MEGA in Iceland cover. “Recreate your idol’s look daw eh,” she wrote.
A prayer come true
For Blythe, the pairing was a relationship that she hoped to also have in her own career. In an interview with Boy Abunda, she stated, “Bilang fan ng KathNiel, gusto ko may marating ako na may kasama din ako, ‘yung may pagka-Daniel Padilla talaga. ‘Yung makakatulong sa’kin, magtutulungan kaming dalawa.” Back then, she was paired with her Kadenang Ginto co-star, Seth Fedelin. A dream turned into reality
Most fangirls only dream to meet the people they look up to. But in the realm of show business, working with them becomes possible. Andrea was once a lucky fangirl to have worked with KathNiel in not just one, but two projects—a film and series. In 2015, she took on the role of Nene, the sister of Daniel’s character in Crazy Beautiful You. Kathryn even shared a heartfelt scene with the actress, portraying an older sister of sorts in the movie. Later that year, she was also casted as Lia in the remake of the early 2000s hit series, Pangako Sa’yo.
