Unveiling their new novelties for the year, Swiss watch house Omega is known to craft one of the world’s best diving and classic timepieces for men. However not to be overshadowed is the timeless elegance of the Constellation and the confidence of the Aqua Terra – their womenswear watches that are equally worthy of the spotlight.
OMEGA also went on to reveal that all of its watches will be Master Chronometer Certified going forward and is expected to be complete by 2022. This ensures that each watch is up to Omega top-notch standard.
Here are the latest updates on the OMEGA Novelties 2021 for women’s timepieces:
Reach For The Stars
Omega’s Constellation started as a men’s chronometer in 1952 but by 1982, it widened its horizons to include women’s watches designed by Carol Didisheim of the known Constellation Manhattan family. She was responsible for the distinctive feature of claws reaching up to its case that garnered the attention of many. Now, in its fifth generation, the collection has evolved into the “Constellation Small Seconds” because of its extra diamonds and several unique details.
The dial now features a round date window at 6 o’clock, along with incremental diamond hour markers, and is named after the additional rings in the Small Seconds subdial. For 2021, the ultra-feminine models come in a great variety, from a chic white mother-of-pearl dial to a flamboyant Sedna gold with a burgundy dial. If you’re not one to wear an unapologetic full-gold model, it also comes in another version where diamonds frame the small seconds counter but not the minute track with a dusty pink leather strap.
Diamond Wave
Pushing the limits of performance and precision, the Omega Seamaster is what put the brand on the map with the likes of James Bond donning it on a daily. Powerful and magnetic is the men’s Seamaster but equally as captivating is its charming and beautiful sister, the Seamaster Aqua Terra. With a dazzling bevy of gems that strikes the balance between sporty and dress wear, the Seamaster Aqua Terra is versatility at its finest.
Made with the same quality engineering, the updates to the collection for this year include intricate wave-embossed dials in beige or vibrant pink, either adorned with marquise-cut diamonds or rubies for its hour markers and matching colored leather straps. A smaller 34-millimeter case size is also available to represent Omega’s approach to crafting more delicate watch designs.
