These Asian stars are running the world of film, television, and music with their own roster of collaborations coming soon
Since time immemorial, women have fought hard to establish themselves in the media. In a world where talent and dedication are merely not the only caliber to success, they’ve proven that they can meet and even exceed expectations. In fact, their presence on film, television, and music have paved the way for other aspiring artists to do the same, giving more female representation in media. It’s no surprise that women are at the forefront of projects today, collaborations included.

This year, women are unstoppable yet again with the upcoming projects they have in store for their audience. From Filipino actresses to Korean stars, we are in for an exciting roster of films, series, and tracks coming our way. With that said, here are the female celebrities who are surely dominating collaborations this 2023:
Kathryn Bernardo and Dolly De Leon
The Asia’s Superstar, who turned 27 this year, surprised her fans with a big screen comeback. Kathryn will not only be starring in one, but three films to be released this year and the next. What mostly excited the fans is her project with internationally-acclaimed Filipino actress Dolly De Leon for A Very Good Girl. What better way to start a collaboration with an inuman session between the two stars and their director, Petersen Vargas? Making a pact on their roles, their upcoming movie will surely be a big hit.
Apart from their roles in A Very Good Girl, Kathryn also has two more movies lined up—Elena 1944 and her comeback film with on and off-screen partner Daniel Padilla, to be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina. Meanwhile, Dolly has 12 projects lined up not just in the country, but also abroad.
Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee
Known for their powerful female characters, Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee will finally star in The Price of Confession wherein their characters will cross paths after getting involved in a murder incident. Last month, the two teased their fans with a mirror photo together which confirmed their collaboration.
Just recently, Song Hye Kyo has yet again proven her acting prowess by winning another accolade at the Baeksang Arts Awards for The Glory. Meanwhile, Han So Hee’s lesbian romance film, Heavy Snow, is currently premiering at the 24th Jeonju International Film Festival.
Maymay and PENTAGON’s Wooseok
After her powerful hits “Amakabogera” and “Puede Ba,” Maymay is back with another fire single with “Autodeadma.” This time, Wooseok of PENTAGON joins the superstar for another positive anthem, exciting both fans in the Philippines and in South Korea.
IU
The multitalented superstar has quite a number of collaborations lined up this year for her worldwide supporters. Her comical tandem with Park Seo Jeon in Dream has been well-received in theaters, garnering more than 90,000 viewers only a few days after its release.
After this movie, we can expect IU to be back on the drama scene with You Have Done Well starring alongside Park Bo Gum. As of reports, they will begin shooting by June of this year.
Julia Montes
Last but definitely not the least, we have one of the best actresses of this generation making a movie comeback. Julia welcomes the second quarter of the year with an announcement of her new film, Five Break-Ups and a Romance, with Alden Richards. This project is another collaboration between the home networks of the stars, and is set to film in Singapore and Bonifacio Global City.
