See the top 10 women who owned the red carpet at the ABS-CBN Ball 2019.

Looks like the stars have aligned once more as countless celebrities pulled all the stops for the most-anticipated annual ball in Philippine entertainment. Held at the ever-luxurious Shangri-La at the Fort, it sure was a glittering and starry night with the likes of Bea Alonzo to Pia Wurtzbach, commanding the attention of the crowd showing us how a fashion moment is made into memory.

The theme of this year’s ABS-CBN Ball was Modern Filipiniana, which only meant the expectations were high to see how these celebrities, designers, and their team of stylists would elevate our traditional national dress code en vogue. Descending one by one all throughout the night, it became very clear that we were served only the best.

Here are MEGA’s 10 best-dressed women at the ABS-CBN Ball 2019.

10. Maymay Entrata

Resplendent as the grandeur of the Manila Cathedral, our September 2019 cover star Maymay Entrata shone brightly wearing an exquisite gold creation with the most intricate embellishments by MEGA Young Designer’s Competition winner Furne One.

9. Ylona Garcia

Unapologetically confident about her look and naturally curly hair, Ylona Garcia embraced her Filipina beauty for the annual ball. The young star wore a stunning sparkling cropped top and cascading skirt embellished with beaded fringe by Michael Leyva.

8. Julia Barretto

Channeling the beauty of femininity, Julia Barretto embodies the ideals of a modern Filipina. Donning a lovely House of Laurel terno with 12,000 individually hand-painted sampaguitas, encrusted seed pearls, and crystals, she sure was a sight to behold.

7. Sarah Lahbati

Sarah Lahbati is undeniably a force to be reckoned with on the red carpet. Whenever she arrives, she effortlessly gets all the attention, which is what she just did at the annual ball, wearing a beautiful white Mark Bumgarner gown accentuated by gorgeous butterfly sleeves. To complete her look, she paired it with a Carolina Herrera Metropolitan Insignia clutch.

6. Anne Curtis

Proving that she’s worth being one of our favorite style stars, Anne Curtis easily made us all obsessed over her look for the ball. Bridging the classic and contemporary, she stunned in a minimalist and modern take on the terno wearing an elegant Mich Dulce gown accentuated by oversized butterfly sleeves, paired with Manolo Blahnik stiletto pump and punctuated with a designer signature, the fascinator.

5. Nadine Lustre

Unexpected yet intrinsically very her, Nadine Lustre surprised us with her ball outfit. In fact, she proved to us that she can work the best of both worlds—from her last year’s edgy look to this year’s refined look, which is all thanks to Michael Leyva’s sparkly red terno with an unapologetic thigh-high slit.

4. Liza Soberano

Classic with an elegant sense of restraint, Liza Soberano was impeccably ethereal as she glided on the red carpet. Donning an effervescent embellished number by Patricia Santos, the beauty effortlessly made Jaws drop with her time-stopping presence.

3. Pia Wurtzbach

Throwing caution to the wind, queen Pia Wurtzbach fearlessly wore an unexpected take on the terno, bringing fierce feline energy as she emerged on the red carpet wearing a skin-baring, animal-printed ensemble by Ezra Santos.

2. Kathryn Bernardo

Modern, romantic, and with the right amount of edge, Kathryn Bernardo was an image of perfection on the red carpet. Wearing a breathtaking Michael Cinco terno embellished with a generous amount of Swarovski crystals, she sure was a spectacle in magenta.

1. Bea Alonzo

Finally, dominating this year’s ABS-CBN Ball 2019 is none other than Bea Alonzo. The star arrived with a no-holds-barred interpretation on the Filipiniana by swathing herself in a marvelous sheer black Jun Escario dress with an oversized one-sided sleeve, and a thigh-high slit. Now that’s what we call a modern, independent Filipina.
