The Beauty Moment: Lip Products Inspired by Celebrity Muses

In anticipation of the return of the collaboration culture in beauty, we delve into notable lip products inspired by celebrity muses

The unprecedented rise of celebrity-owned beauty brands changed the collaboration culture for good. In fact, it even set it back. A long list of actors and content creators placed the partnership deals behind and pursued a namesake label of their own. Sure, the genre introduced an influx of promising formulas and exciting releases but there is still a state of longing for limited-edition beauty collaborations.

Take Morphe, for example. The beauty brand made its mark with its collaborative saga of makeup palettes and brush sets with influential personalities. Charlotte Tilbury, on the other hand, fronted the beauty headlines with her strongest collection in partnership with incredible celebrities. In recent times, Dior hints at the return of the culture with the release of a special shade in tribute to BLACKPINK’s Jisoo. It’s a given that the beat beauty practices always circle back, which only proves that the allure of collaborative products remains unmatched.

Tom Ford demonstrated that men can be celebrity muses too in his “Lips and Boys” lipstick collection. A nod to the artist Drake, the luxury brand masterfully crafted a mid-cool-toned plum shade with a pearl finish. It is also a record holder in the category. In 2015, the brand announced that it was immediately sold out mere minutes after its release.
