Entrepreneurs Kamille Zulueta and Killa Kush share their insights on kickstarting a successful business at a young age

Kamille Zulueta definitely believes in the power of reading. “I love reading books. I believe that they are the best mentors you could possibly have,” shared Kamille. She added that one of her go-to books when kickstarting a business is Perennial Seller by Ryan Holiday. This book taught her the importance of creating a classic brand that will stand the test of time. Kamille emphasized that anyone can start their own business with a great idea backed up by a strong purpose, a solid plan, and persistence.

Killa Kush, on the other hand, believes that taking risks is crucial in achieving great rewards. She shared that investing a chunk of your money into starting a business can be scary, but playing it safe can be even scarier. She emphasized that being bold and taking calculated risks is essential to success.
“The bigger the risk, the bigger the reward. Investing a chunk of your money and starting a business is undeniably scary. But it’s even scarier to play it safe,” shares Kush.
However, starting a business comes with challenges that are not often talked about. Kamille revealed that the work never stops, and growth is a continuous process. “Work never stops. Learning never stops. Growth never stops. No matter how long you have been in business and no matter how many employees you hire in your company, as an entrepreneur, you will always be part of the creative process constantly looking for ways to take it to the next level,” said Kamille. She added that as an entrepreneur, it’s important to embrace the journey and stay motivated along with everyone involved.
Meanwhile, Kush mentioned that losses are inevitable, and all businesses face struggles. She wished someone had told her that even with good financial management and decision-making, it’s still possible to incur losses. However, the key is to learn how to bounce back and be resilient in the face of adversity.
“The only thing you can do is learn how to bounce back quickly. Every business struggles at some point, and that’s normal. It’s how you bounce back that matters the most,” shared Kush.
