The bond between these celebrities proves that motherhood goes beyond blood ties
It’s nothing but heartwarming to see celebrity moms treat their co-stars and fellow actors as true family members. Just because someone already has their own children, doesn’t mean they can’t treat other people, especially those that mean a lot to them, as if they were bound by their DNA. Thus, it is no surprise to hear the stories of these celebrities who express the power of motherly love to their co-stars that they look at and care for as their own sons and daughters. Here are some actresses who take motherly love in different forms that extend far beyond blood ties.

Dimples Romana and Charlie Dizon
Dimples and Charlie may not share the same genes, but their relationship is as cute as any mother-daughter duo. The two actresses were former co-stars in a TV series called Viral Scandal. Beyond their dramatic scenes on-screen, the two share genuine happiness and laughter behind the camera, which they constantly share on social media. Since then, the two remain incredibly close to this day. During Charlie’s birthday, Dimples penned a sweet caption and described her as a gentle but fierce soul. In the message, she also thanked Charlie, whom she referred to as Ikay, for being thoughtful and caring.
Sylvia Sanchez and Ice Seguerra
Sylvia Sanchez and Ice Seguerra are also celebrities that aren’t blood relatives, but they accept each other as part of the family. Their closeness started in Be Careful With My Heart, where the two bonded over food. Their relationship grew until Ice asked Sylvia and her husband to be one of their principal wedding sponsors. Slyvia shared in an interview that she loves Ice’s music and feels relaxed when she hears the singer’s voice. And in her IG feed, we can see how she constantly shares the poster of Ice’s gigs and concerts. This is one of Sylvia’s many ways of showing her love and support for her “adopted” child.
Maricel Soriano and Vice Ganda
Maricel shared in an interview that since their first meeting, the actress felt that she was the biological mother of the renowned comedian. Vice Ganda is a fan of Maricel Soriano and their mother-daughter relationship began when Vice asked for a photo with the Diamond Star. The It’s Showtime host even calls Maricel his inay, while Maricel Soriano calls Vice, bata. The latter also expressed how proud he is to claim Maricel Soriano as his mother. He makes an effort to set a date with her, and calls and texts her because he misses Maricel just like how he feels towards her biological mother. On the other hand, Maricel is always present in all of Vice Ganda’s life events, including his concert and birthday parties.
