Check out how fashion houses like Prada, Bottega Veneta, and Fendi redefined the usual trends of Spring/Summer collections in Milan Fashion Week
When it comes to predicting Spring/Summer trends, these normally circulate around usual details such as florals, pastels, and sequined pieces that are fit for the season. These are the go-to elements that have been incorporated over the years, which is why many fashion enthusiasts were pleasantly surprised to see how few houses decided to opt for a different direction. It’s very clear that these three brands will spearhead next year’s fashion trends.

Prada
Sleek businesswoman meets modern hippie girl is how we’d describe Prada’s latest Spring/Summer collection. Their color palette has a work-friendly blend to it, especially since some of the silhouettes are rather structured, like its oversized outerwear. However, the springtide characteristics are still infused with their use of sheer fabrics for their muted skirts, the soft layering on their button-downs, and the ultra high-waisted style on the shorts and skirts.
Bottega Veneta
The Italian fashion house is no stranger when it comes to balancing minimal dressing and maximalist fads, and we are seeing it once again in their explorative collection. The three main details we spotted were the coordinated patterns seen on their skirts and outerwear, the leather pieces done in vivid hues, and the large statement bags constructed in a very laxed manner.
Fendi
Fendi’s Spring/Summer collection was the cherry on top of Milan Fashion Week with their combination of vibrant hues and neutral tones, as well as pastels and neons. On top of that, the fashion house had their take on unexpected cuts with their layered ensembles and their mini-maxi combinations. Lastly, each outfit was easily elevated by the colored gloves—dare we say this will make an appearance next year?
