These Six Chefs Will Take You On A Gastronomic Trip at Sheraton Manila Hotel

Twelve hands make the world go round at Sheraton Manila Hotel’s restaurant, the S Kitchen.

By now, there is already no denying that the F in Filipino stands for Food. The things we eat and drink on a daily basis carry so much of our history and culture as Filipinos. Besides, what would a Filipino gathering be without heaps of viands, noodles, rice, and even tables of desserts?

As Sheraton Manila Hotel provides its guests the Filipino experience with world-class service, the hotel brings us the 12 Hands Culinary Showcase—a gastronomical adventure with six of the country’s high caliber chefs.

These are chefs Kenneth Cacho, Carlo Miguel, Carlos “Pipo” Aluning, Brando Santos, James Antolin, and Sheraton Manila Hotel’s Executive Chef Francisco “Kiko” Santiago.

Curious to know what each chef has in store for you? Get to know them more one by one:

Chef Kenneth Cacho

Cacho’s credibility comes from three decades of being in the kitchen and refining his skills as the Country Executive Chef of Unilever Food Solutions Philippines. Get a taste of his magnum opus, his signature Barbeque Braised Beef and his Braised Pork Roast, Wild Mushrooms, and Apple Rosemary Purée.

Chef Carlo Miguel

Even as a child, Chef Carlo already discovered his love affair with food. Now in the industry for more than 20 years, he has worked in reputable restaurants and with chefs all over the world. Make sure to look out for his Slow BBQ Pork Shoulder Inasal Fat Rice and Duck Lechon (Lechon Pato) with Duck Liver Sarsa.

Chef Carlos Aluning

Let Chef Carlos—or more known as Pipo—give you the Southeast Asian vibe at the buffet. His Malaysian-style Lamb Rendang and Thai-style Plant Based Stir-fried Krapow are definitely must-tries! Trust in him to give you the best eat-all-you-can experience with his knack for large banquets. His diverse food heritage is all thanks to his family.
