At the MEGA Beautycon 2021, Bianca Gonzalez-Intal and AC Bonifacio get real with how Cetaphil changed their skin during the pandemic
MEGA’s BeautyCon for this year just happened and allowed us to hear stories from known people in the industry to give us inspiration and hope with our own beauty concerns. Trina Epilepsia Boutain, MEGA’s managing editor, opened the floor of discussion with the statement, “Radiating beauty starts with your raw canvas. For many people it means being able to take care of their own skin to exude confidence from within.”This segment shows how Bianca Gonzalez-Intal and AC Bonifacio experienced complete care with Cetaphil especially during this pandemic.
Skin Reset
For Bianca Gonzalez-Intal, complete care means not only taking care of what’s physical, but more importantly what we feel inside, especially in the time like this. That’s why when the pandemic started she shared that she made many plans to achieve wellness, and trying out and buying new skincare products are some of them. However, she tried on those products that were not suited for her skin.
She recalled that when she was in her teens to her twenties, she was blessed with a skin that doesn’t breakout that much, but at 38, she had a major breakout due to her skin’s reaction to combined factors of skincare products and stress from work and affected her confidence. Since her breakout take a more serious turn she finally consulted her dermatologist and advice her to have a skin reset. The skin reset requires a complete strip off of what she’s been using that was damaging her skin, and replacing it with a simpler or milder products for her skin to breathe.
Of course, her dermatologist suggested for her to use Cetaphil products. Since then, Gonzalez-Intal reduced her skincare routine to 3 steps: Cleanser, moisturizer, and eye cream which are all from Cetaphil. Gonzales shared, “What I appreciate about this skin reset routine of Cetaphil is that even if there are marks, the rest of the skin around the marks are parang mas clear na talaga. Of course it will take time especially with morenas diba, for the dark spots to go away, but for me I don’t mind as long as wala ng bago, hindi na siya nanganganak, iba talaga, iba yung confidence of having clearer skin.”
Of course, healing takes time so as her skin starts to recover, Gonzales also took that time to be kinder to herself by not feeling guilty on taking her time to take care of her whole being especially for someone as busy as her. She said, “I put my foot down, and told myself to not be guilty about it. Kasi diba when we take time for ourselves we feel guilty parang I should be doing this, I should be more productive, but you need to talaga eh to create that balance, to keep your sanity. That’s how I squeezed in self-care.”
Simple beauty care
