Experience quirky, new, and delectably mindful dining at Odd Cafe and its latest branch in the metro
In the bustling coffee jungle of Manila, usual spots can start to feel all too familiar. Flavors are repetitive, options lack excitement, and indulgent meals can leave you feeling heavy. But found in a quaint, unassuming corner in the heart of Ortigas Center is Odd Café–a hidden gem where all things ordinary are left at the door, and a wholesome dining experience awaits.

In 2022, the specialty coffee shop found its home in Salcedo Village, tucked among a hive of busy offices in the area. Gaining traction for its interesting location, eclectic interiors, and a fully plant-based menu, it quickly became a go-to among neighborhood locals for everything fun and wholesome. For its second anniversary, Odd Café decided to expand and bring its signature oddities in a new corner of the metro—Ortigas.
More Room, More Flavor
Setting up a second location meant both a spatial expansion and an exciting menu upgrade. Along with its beloved originals, the Ortigas branch offers a range of fresh, exclusive dishes and drinks—all plant-based, of course—inviting guests to enjoy new flavors.
The bestsellers Pappardelle Truffle Cream Pasta and Hashbrown with Mushroom XO are standout meals from this selection, crafted by Chef Christian Ubaldo and the Odd team who make sure that the plant-based menu will be nothing short of delicious. These crowd favorites are best paired with the branch’s exclusive drinks—Charming Topaz, Sassy Saphire, and Playful Emerald—all inspired by its tucked-away charm.
A Visual Buffet
They say your eyes take the first bite, and this couldn’t be more true. The café’s interiors artfully combine mid-century brutalism and whimsical decor, creating an ambiance so striking that one might mistake it for an art gallery.
Food and drinks aside, the charm of Odd Café comes from the experience of dining in such a unique space. Stepping inside is an experience in itself, with patrons savoring their drinks and pastries in inviting seating, all while surrounded by artsy corners that catch the eye at every turn.
More than anything, this new space is an open invitation for more people to explore sustainable eating. “As an advocate of sustainable and yummy options, we find it important to open the plant-based diet to a wider audience,” co-owner Via Villafuerte shares. The beauty of the business lies in proving that one needn’t choose between good food and sustainability; at the Odd Café, you can have both.
