The latest installment of Emily in Paris is a visual treat for fashion and beauty fans alike. Here, we delve into all the Pierre Cadault-approved hair and makeup details that are set to dominate the beauty sphere

The focus is back on the city of love as the third season of Emily in Paris returns. Aside from the plot, the cast, and of course, the feast of Miu Miu, Mugler, Jacquemus, and Schiaparelli, the series served notable looks that are set to define this year’s beauty moodboard. Head Makeup Artist Aurélie Payen integrated her skill in storytelling into her art by carefully creating looks that reflected each character’s personal growth, and the same goes for hair. Hairstylist Mike Desir showcased standout hair designs that stole the spotlight. In short, there is no dull moment in the beauty department.

As we anticipate the next installment, we take a nod to every hair and makeup detail that captured our attention. Ahead are the show’s best beauty moments in their latest season.

Trauma bangs

Emily Cooper once said, “They’re just bangs! Sometimes people cut their bangs when everything’s fine!” The first episode started strong with the marketing executive chopping her own fringe to cope with her existential angst. Sure, Mindy Chen might have coined the look as “trauma bangs,” but it’s undeniable that the chic hair update perfectly suits her roommate. Alongside her career and romance, the third season focuses on how Emily cements her life in Paris, which makes it the perfect time for her to don a classic French fringe.

French glam

A bold lip is synonymous with Emily Cooper’s look for the season. Payen committed to the “French girl” beauty format where a powerful lip shade punctuates the whole look. Elsewhere, it’s noticeable that a radiant base was minimally enhanced with soft swishes of blush, while brows and eyelashes were kept defined to frame the face. Payen also rendered an effortless yet classic approach to Sylvie Grateau’s glam look only with a more neutral lip hue.

Graphic eyeliner

Mindy Chen’s fashion and beauty moments are hard to miss. In the third episode, the rising star surprised fans with her rendition of Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” while dressed in Mugler’s Sheer Illusion Mesh Bodysuit and Leggings in neon yellow. Meanwhile, in the beauty department, standout details like a neon graphic eyeliner and a minimal touch of rhinestone embellishments complemented her bold wardrobe. It was an eye look that is as fun as her bubbly personality.

Hair accessories

Emily in Paris’ third season made a serious case for hair accessories. Over and above the printed scarves consisted of Mindy Chen’s play on oversized hats, pearl embellishments, and detailed headbands. It’s only right to mention Gregory Dupree’s masterful take on a leathered beret. The infamous designer also offered a non-Ringarde way to wear a pilot hat—with a statement feathered jacket and knee-high platform boots.

Hair updos

Desir knows exactly how to put hair updos back on the map. Emily presented numerous ways to create a chic approach to the hairstyle, but a standout includes her Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina-inspired look that was polished by a curled fringe. Another noteworthy mention includes Camille’s contrasting ponytail as seen in episode five, and Emily’s take on a barbie ponytail in her event at Provence.

French side swept

It appears that the side swept and side fringe revolution has arrived. Take Sylvie Grateau’s look, for example. Her side-swept hair was complemented by loose natural waves that encapsulated both her Saint Tropez careless personality and her luxury marketing firm elegance. Emily also punctuated the return of the hairstyle in episode four when she accented a clean half updo with a side fringe.

Modern space buns

Camille has slowly transitioned from a sartorial maven to a more playful palette. In episode four, the socialite donned a green La Veste Marino Blazer from Jacquemus and a polished french braid. Another standout includes her look in episode five where she introduced a modern take on space buns. Compared to its preceding iterations, this style creates an undone look that is just true to her character’s effortlessly cool personality.
