Continuous rain and strong winds due to Typhoon Carina have caused widespread flooding, leaving roads impassable and several residents displaced or stranded across northern and central Luzon. According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Carina is expected to maintain strength as it makes its way to Taiwan and will leave the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Thursday. With NCR (National Capital Region) officially in a state of calamity, it’s important to stay alert, have an evacuation plan ready, and help our fellow kababayans be safe.
