Uniqlo and Maiko Kurogouchi, designer of Mame Kurogouchi, merged the archetype of form, comfort, and function into a 21-piece range

Form-flattering pieces are undeniably a closet essential. In contrast to skintight silhouettes, a tailored-to-perfection design that hugs the curves in all the right places without compromising comfort is a definite staple. It’s also a universal-wear type of clothing that seamlessly transitions from one season to another. Now, these styles are reimagined into a new format in Uniqlo and Mame Kurogouchi’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection.

Global apparel retailer Uniqlo and designer Maiko Kurogouchi merged the archetype of form, comfort, and function with the release of their fourth collaborative line. Marked as the brand’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection, the 21-piece range offers exceptional skin comfort from new materials created with leading-edge technologies and exquisitely designed details.

“The new expression of LifeWear offers an unhindered and beautiful everyday life that frees the mind and body of every woman.”

UNIQLO

Presenting a melange of seamless innerwear, sculpting shapewear, and season staples, the Fall/Winter 2022 collection revived the concept of a wardrobe classic. The brand’s form-flattering pieces took center stage, while seamless intimates and innovative fabrics added more definition to the collection. Elsewhere, an earth-toned palette of greens, nudes, and blacks grounded the line.

A nod to function

Uniqlo surprised fans with a new innovative fabric to wear for the colder season. The HEATTECH wool blend material, for one, is developed from yarn to provide a next-level warm feel with thinness suitable for layering. The iteration is reimagined in leggings, crewnecks, and turtlenecks. Meanwhile, the new silk blend HEATTECH delivers a smoother feel against the skin and takes the form of sleeveless tops, as well as bra shirts.

An ode to form

The Fall/Winter 2022 collection from Uniqlo and Mame Kurogouchi also brings light to this season’s standout shapewear. Made with a sheer material in a refined luster, The Body Shaper Shorts is geared to deliver a gentle sculpt, exceptional comfort, and a pleasant fit. Another notable mention includes the 3D Souffle Yarn Bustier and intimates, including shorts.
