Vice Ganda is 48, and she is mothering the meaningful ways to turn a year older
Trust in one Vice Ganda to live up to her own adjective—unkabogable. As she turned 48 this year, she chose to celebrate her birthday in a way that would make it more meaningful to her and her guests. The host-comedienne brought her “Party party!” energy at Highland Bali Villas Resort and Spa in Nueva Ecija, making it a destination party for her guests. According to Vice, the location was intentional to have her guests spend more time with her.

A journey worth celebrating
In their respective posts and Instagram stories, Anne Curtis and Kim Chiu both shared their efforts to reach the party of their fellow It’s Showtime! host. “From Tokyo to Nueva Ecija real quick to celebrate my sisterette’s birthday,” Anne wrote in her caption. Curtis flew back to the Philippines after her Tiffany & Co. event, bringing her daughter Dahlia along with the celebration.
Meanwhile, Kim Chiu reunited with actress Bela Padilla as they traveled to the resort together. They rode together with Darren Espanto, and even joked that their friend group for the weekend was #DaBeKi. It was a wordplay on the original trio of Kim and Bela, #AngBeKi, along with Angelica Panganiban.
Of course, ABS-CBN bosses Lauren Dyogi and Cory Vidanes also attended the occasion, as well as the rest of the Showtime family. Other friends dear to Vice Ganda, including designers Neric Beltran and Jaggy Glarino, graced her birthday as well. Apart from the creatives, Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho especially made time for their Belo baby to celebrate with her.
A mothering photoshoot
Expressing her unkabogable energy, Vice Ganda didn’t let her 48th birthday pass without a pasabog photoshoot. Adding a touch of AI to the mix, creative director Vince Uy transformed the host into a feminine nature fairy and a cool ice queen around layouts of a digital floral space and an ice kingdom situation.
A meaningful birthday message
Before her destination party, Vice took the celebration into the It’s Showtime! stage and made a back-to-back performance for her birthday and their debut airing on GMA. In a Greek mythology-themed ensemble, the hosts welcomed their new chapter with the Kapuso network. Vice Ganda’s birthday stage followed suit, beginning with her figure sitting on the logo of GMA clad in a Neric Beltran creation. She also did a spoken word poetry performance, giving a message of hope and inspiration to the audience.
