“We’re thrilled to launch our 29th edition of Vogue in the Philippines, a country with a growing luxury fashion market and a vibrant creative scene. Bold Fashion
The arrival of the brand also signals the Philippines’ ascent as a key player in the international fashion and luxury scene. Recent years have seen numerous luxury brands launch and expand their businesses in the country, and the trend appears to continue as the country is expected to maintain its rise in the new few years with a maturing e-commerce industry that can see up to over a billion pesos worth of sales in a single day, as well as the gradual reopening and continued popularity of shopping malls. Fashion isn’t simply alive in the Philippines, it’s experiencing a bold resurgence.
Local Pride
Vogue has long played a role in the Philippine fashion and beauty scenes, serving as both inspiration and aspiration for many dedicated fashion followers and creatives. Numerous Filipino talent have also graced the magazine’s pages in its various editions—from accessory designer Bea Valdes (Vogue and Vogue UK) to Dubai-based fashion royalty Michael Cinco, Furne One and Ezra Santos (Vogue Arabia) and model Hannah Locsin (Vogue Japan)—so it’s about time that the fashion bible zoned in on the country’s rich heritage, creative people and dynamic, progressive fashion scene—not to mention its burgeoning luxury market.
“The Filipino talent has been ready to be received by the world for decades now and with certainty, I can say that the market, too, is finally ready. The two are meeting at the perfect juncture, at the perfect time, and the long wait is over. We are excited to announce the arrival of Vogue Philippines,” says Archie Carrasco, Chairman and CEO of MEGA Global Licensing, Inc. With over 30 years of prestige publishing expertise through One Mega Group (OMG), MEGA Global Licensing, Inc. joins OMG under its parent company, AGC Power Holding Corp. as it expands the company’s portfolio to now include international print and digital titles, which now includes Vogue Philippines, Nylon Manila—with more to come.
Vogue Philippines will join Vogue’s 28 editions around the world, which collectively reach a global audience of more than 272 million.
