Immortalizing the British actress beyond her influence in film and fashion, Intimate Audrey will grace the Philippines soon
Curiosity may have killed the cat for the longest time, but in the case of Vogue Philippines, it is what feeds it. The Mystery Dinner, twisting a regular invitation for a gathering with a special guest gracing the table, involves an anonymity until the event itself. By keeping the identities of the esteemed guests hushed until the actual table time, the publication initiates a more authentic spin to a planned discourse. Staying true to the occasion’s concept, the invitation of a “Mystery Guest” maintains the flowing, candid conversations attendees get to engage in.

For its third installment, Audrey Hepburn’s son and granddaughter, Sean Hepburn Ferrer and Emma Ferrer, joined Vogue Philippines’ pool of esteemed guests for a Mystery Brunch this time around. Initiated by Hepburn’s son and granddaughter, respectively, the Intimate Audrey exhibition is finally coming to Manila.
Together with jewelry brand Tiffany & Co. and luxury vehicle manufacturer Volvo Cars, Vogue Philippines welcomed the two in an affair of wonder involved with intimate charm. Joining the Mystery Brunch were respected industry names and up-and-coming talents such as Millet Mananquil, Sofia Elizalde, Tina Ocampo, Jill Lao, Anya and Mica Lagman, Christian Tantoco, Siobhan Moylan, Milka Romero, and Cristalle Belo-Pitt.
During the event, the actress’ son emphasized on the meaningful timing of the exhibition. “This year is an important anniversary—it’s been 70 years since she was discovered, or the release of Roman Holiday for which she received an Academy Award,” Hepburn Ferrer pointed out. “It’s also a bittersweet anniversary because it’s been 30 years since we were last together.” The said exposition sources from the family’s archives, showcasing the actress-humanitarian’s photographs, letters, and film clips. His book Audrey Hepburn, An Elegant Spirit, published in 1999, was Hepburn Ferrer’s first initiative to keep his mother’s legacy alive. More than her experience as an actress, Audrey has lived her life devoting her time and energy to visit and help poverty-stricken areas, among which children have been affected the most.
Audrey Hepburn’s legacy extends to more than just her film and fashion influence, even exceeding the grace, elegance, and style that people have known her for. Devoting her life in humanitarian causes by working with UNICEF, her star factor goes above just captivating an audience to watch her on the screen. Through the Intimate Audrey exhibition, opening on July 31 at S Maison in Conrad Manila, the actress’ life will be presented in photos that pull its spectators to marvel at her life beyond her characters and sartorial moments.
