Forget Pantone’s Ultra-Violet! The Spring/Summer 2018 beauty looks have us seeing pink all over—our faces, that is!
1. GO GLITTER OR GO HOME
In a surprising turn of events, sparkle moves past the holiday season and into the warmer months, showcasing a different appeal to the soft pink shade
Start with a white shadow base to make the pink pigment pop. Using an angled brush, wing it out at a dramatic angle.
Following the outline, sweep a pink shadow on the lids.
Top it off with a gold glitter eyeshadow. Repeat all these steps for your lower lash line.
2. MONOCHROME PLAY
Update your monochromatic pink makeup look with striking finishes and fresh pairings (think: metallic flicks paired with metallic pouts)
Dip an angled brush in a creamy metallic pigment and draw a cat eye.
Layer it with metallic powder shadow for added impact.
Sweep a metallic lipstick on the lips. Similar to step number 2, load up a flat shadow brush with pink metallic shadow and gently tap it on the lips for more impact.
3. THE STATEMENT FLUSH
Contouring, step aside. The “draping” blush technique dramatically sculpts the face with minimal effort
Dust a bright pink blush all over the lids.
Sweep it down from the cheekbones to the temples, blending it outwards for an ombré effect.
To avoid looking flat, add dimension by highlighting the high point points of the face.
4. HALF OMBRÉ
Ombré is old news — put a modern spin on the K-Beauty-inspired trend by only committing to it halfway.
Fill in the top lip with a bright red lipstick.
For the lower lip, apply a pink lipstick on the inner lip area. Use a blending shadow brush to achieve the feathery, faded effect.

5. THE NEW SMOKY EYE
For Spring, smoky eyes shouldn’t be anything too serious. Ditch the blacks in favor of a sensuous shade of pink that highlights your femininity.
For the base, sweep a creamy eye pencil on the lids. Blend and soften out the edges using your finger.
Dust a rich pink eye shadow over the entire lid and and into the crease to intensify the eye makeup.
Line your lower lash line with the same pink shadow pencil you used in step number 1 and define it using a jet-black liner.
