For this breadwinner, you dream big, or you go home: “Kasi kung hindi ako natatakot ng pangarap ko, masyadong maliit ‘yon”
Below is an excerpt from MEGA magazine’s June 2022 cover story.
Despite achieving stardom already, the multi-talented artist is not immune to life’s blows. C’est la vie, indeed. She doesn’t shy away from recounting her struggles, as they are an integral part of her success and story. One of these struggles happened during her stint in the teleserye Ipaglaban Mo, where she played the role of a younger Jennica Garcia. Francine is quick in recollecting memories of how she had to knock on the doors of kindhearted neighbors to borrow money so she could travel to and from the set.
Even at the height of what she considers as her career’s biggest triumph, the teleserye Kadenang Ginto, Francine had to face head-on the reality of having to hear quick, acrid remarks from strangers. In response, she used criticism as fuel to strive harder and be better.
Eager to offer her wisdom, she advises others to use “negative” moments in life as a catalyst for improvement: “Gawin mong motivation lahat ng rejection at masakit in life, kasi ’yon ’yong magiging hagdan mo para maging successful ka.”

Now, she reaps the fruits of her labor—a new commodious dwelling and car for her family, an extravagant debut, and having pride in being a darling of the entertainment industry. Despite these numerous victories, Chin, as she is fondly called by loved ones, never lets her feet off the ground.
