With an impressive world-class portfolio, it is no surprise that Albert Andra is set to join the exciting roster. He has created masterpieces for Paris Hilton, Kathryn Bernardo, and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach who was crowned while donning his beautiful creation. Meanwhile, Michael Leyva’s designs were bespoke and matched the beauty of Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi. It can be recalled that the Filipino designer shared an exclusive with MEGA about the design process behind the supposed evening gown of the former Miss Universe candidate.

The revealed lineup also includes Marlon Tuazon, owner of the MTC Couture brand and the gold winner of TernoCon in 2018, wherein the homegrown designer bagged awards for the Balintawak and Formal Terno categories. Last but not the least, Jo Rubio, another designer who brings continued pride to the Philippines. Celebrities such as Marian Rivera, Maine Mendoza, and Glaiza De Castro were some of the Filipino A-listers that have donned Jo Rubio’s creations.

Rampa Manila is in commemoration of Manila’s founding anniversary on June 24. Also, the fashion show aims to promote the city’s fashion legacy by providing a platform for local designers to exhibit their works to Filipino audiences. In turn, Rampa Manila’s presentation of talent will draw in fashion enthusiasts, industry leaders, and media personalities from all over the country. Filipino fashion enthusiasts can expect to see diverse models and performers on the runway, as well as a display of local accessories and crafts.

With the first-ever fashion event in Manila happening in exactly two months, the city signed a  Memorandum of Agreement with Punto Consultancy for the upcoming launch. Some of the participating designers were present during the ceremony, including Albert Andrada, Peuy Quiñones, and Marlon Tuazon. Also in attendance at the signing event is the Philippines’ sought-after streetwear designer, Bang Pineda, who will spearhead Rampa Manila as its Creative Director. Moreover, the event is an initiative of Mayor Honey Lacuna and the City Tourism Office.

As Rampa Manila slowly approaches, Mayor Honey Lacuna shares, “This fashion show is a testament to our commitment to [promoting] our city’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant fashion industry. We are proud to showcase the talents of our local designers and to provide them with an opportunity to present their collections to a wider audience.” After all, Rampa Manila is not just a fashion show, but also a celebration of each designer’s creative vision and Manila’s vibrant culture.
