Over the course of two years, the beauty and skincare industry in the Philippines had an unprecedented growth. Beauty enthusiasts, gurus, and practitioners built a community that championed loving and embracing oneself—it became a community that welcomes real beauty.
It’s an advocacy that continues to grow even after the pandemic, and the community continues to thrive in their dedication to provide content and products that are inclusive and diverse. This is the very message the MEGA BeautyCon wanted to deliver. And after two years of waiting, beauty enthusiasts and practitioners gathered to celebrate the inspiring upturn of the industry.

Ultra glam giveaways
It was the little tote bag that everyone had as they went around the booths at MEGA BeautyCon. The tiny but mighty tote was packed with products from beauty and skincare brands that are loved by many. One of the goodies may or may not have been a must-have in our local beauty scene—the Sunnies Face Dream Cream.

Decked-out booths
If there’s one thing about being in the beauty industry, it’s that there is no such thing as too little and too much! Brands like Bio Oil, Dazzle Me, Ready Set Glow, and YOU Beauty came in with decked out booths that the guests definitely enjoyed. While some had their pictures taken in different booths throughout the day, Bio Oil got creative with their games and giveaways on stage.
The age of influencers
A beauty event isn’t complete without the influencers that have been contributing to the local scene. Included in our line of guests at MEGA BeautyCon were Toni Sia, Iman Chesca, and Kirsten Ariana who also made their way to the stage to share some tips and tricks.
Real talks
Since we’re talking about being real, practitioners from the industry had a sit down talk with host Samantha Bernando. Though they were able to dive deeper into the methods of routines, they didn’t leave out the importance of self-love—that’s where the true beauty lies.

Lovi Poe got real at the MEGA BeautyCon with a topic that’s close to home for many of us. The actress opened up about her struggles when it comes to beauty and what she does to keep her energy up despite having some low days.
