Where in the world is David Beckham? Well, if you are up-to-date on his social media tracks, then his digital footprints will tell you that he is in Paris, coming straight from London where he and the Beckham brood showed support for one special lady that goes by the name Victoria on her latest run at London Fashion Week. Not too long after, however, the former English football player and crucial reference to the film, Bend It Like Beckham, is set to make his way to Manila for quite the special engagement.

Following an announcement that broke over the Facebook page of insurance company, Philam Life, David Beckham himself superseded with a confirmation saying: “Excited to be in the Philippines for this incredible expo. See you there!” He is of course talking about the AIA Philam Life Live Better Expo, a wellness and protection summit slated on October 13 at the Enderun Tent in Taguig city. A realization of the company’s key tenets, the commitment by AIA Philam Life has seen consistent iterations, such as runs, health exhibitions, and a comprehensive healthcare plan that gets you active for longer, healthier, and better life.

“We are thrilled to have David Beckham join us and share his daily wellness journey at the Live Better Expo,” says Philam Life Chief Marketing Officer Leo Tan. “His healthy and active lifestyle best exemplifies what our brand promise of living a Healthier, Longer and Better Life means. We are happy to have him in Manila and inspire Filipinos to also embrace and bring to life our brand promise,” he explains.

An AIA Global Ambassador himself, David Beckham will take part of the expo, encouraging and promoting the benefits and importance of a well-balanced lifestyle, as well as heading an exhibition play with the kids on the same day. In line with this, a football clinic will precede the AIA Philam Life Live Better Expo, headed by Philam Life 7s Football League Commissioner, Anton Del Rosario. Meanwhile, the main event will feature lifestyle sessions from the likes of Nico Bolzico, Solenn Heusaff, Raymond Gutierrez, and Wil Dasovich.

Judging by the reactions of social media and the whispers turned shrieks in the office, you shouldn’t just make a goal, but yes, to bend it just like Beckham—a strike with flair, no less. Besides, Mr. Beckham will be here for a hot, hot minute, so you better get moving to the AIA Philam Life Live Better Expo before time runs out.
