The Green and Honest by the Numbers Campaign is a project that she has involved herself in each step of the way. From planning and conceptualization to physical action, it’s clear that Nadine Lustre is passionate about it and all of us should be as well. “I believe I have a responsibility to the next generations—I will do what I can to raise awareness for a more sustainable future, as well as take concrete action. I begin here—with raising funds for trees. I hope everyone will join me in doing this,” she says.
Each year we experience devastation from typhoons leaving many of our fellow countrymen defenseless. Last month, Typhoon Rolly and Ulysses, left many stranded with homes and streets flooded. It’s not too late to take action for the future and trees are our first line of defense against these natural disasters. Thus, the creation of the long-term program initiated by social organizations MAD Travel and For The Future. Along with Nadine and Bioten, they all believe in wasting no time investing in and safeguarding our natural world.
Founded in 2015, MAD Travel is a social enterprise working for and with various tribes and local communities with the reforestation of Yangil in Zambales as its flagship project. In 2019, For the Future formerly known as Fund The Forest joined the advocacy. Making their platform enable anyone who want to support various causes.
44,000 from You and 44,000 from Bioten
To help enrich the livelihood of the tribe and the environment itself, the plan is to cultivate 3,000 hectares of Aeta ancestral domain. Nadine and Bioten need your help to achieve this by raising 44,000 seeds to match their equal donation. The number 88 holds a symbolic significance for both Nadine and the brand, representing the 88% of natural ingredients present in Bioten’s Skin Moisture line. The European eco-friendly brand shares the same vision with Nadine in committing to act on real plans towards honest sustainability.
“Bioten has always been honest about the ingredients that are put into every bottle it makes. We’re not 100% natural but each box proudly and truthfully states the percentage of natural ingredients used in it,” states Angie Goyena, iFace General Manager.
How You Can Help
Nadine Lustre with her network and loyal fans will commit to raising enough funds for 44,000 seeds. The seeds will then be planted over several years accordingly. Additionally, Bioten Skin Care will match the same number. This is bringing the total to 88,000 fruit and forest trees.
Each seedling costs P50 and if you would like to join this movement, you can donate Nadine Lustre to this cause here: forthefutureph.com
