Television enthusiasts were in for a treat as several popular series offered glimpses of their upcoming comebacks just last week. From a highly anticipated spin-off series, a fresh adaptation of a childhood classic, to new seasons of favorite ongoing TV shows, there’s no shortage of exciting programs for you to look forward to. Here are some that are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat:

The Big Bang Theory

Kicking off this list is Warner Bros. Discovery’s confirmation of a second spin-off for The Big Bang Theory. Chuck Lorre, the show’s co-creator and executive producer, is spearheading the new show for Max. While no concrete details were disclosed during the presentation, the mere thought that The Big Bang Theory universe is expanding yet again is more than enough to cause excitement.

Another surprising announcement made during the WBD press presentation was the confirmation that a Harry Potter series is officially in the works, putting to rest long-standing rumors. The company shared in a press release that it will be a “decade-long series produced with the same epic craft, love, and care this global franchise is known for.” In addition, a new cast will portray the iconic characters, and Warner Bros. Discovery promises that “each season will be authentic to the original books.”

True Detective: Night Country

HBO dropped the first teaser trailer for True Detective‘s upcoming fourth season, True Detective: Night Country. Oscar winner Jodie Foster and boxer-actress Kali Reis are among the stars of the crime anthology directed by renowned filmmaker Issa López. The new season’s Alaskan setting takes center stage in the trailer, emphasizing how the absence of sunlight will set the chilling tone for the murder mystery.

HBO is also set to air A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, a prequel series based on George R.R. Martin’s Dunk and Egg books, delving into the Game of Thrones universe. Martin and Ira Parker, co-executive producers of House of the Dragon, will take on the roles of writer and executive producer, respectively, promising an exciting story full of epic shocks and surprises.
