From sharing his journey in the music industry to letting us into his songwriting process, it is no surprise how high his fans and casual listeners relate to this emerging artist.

As Zack Tabudlo continues to prove his sound’s ability to stay in the mainstream, he candidly shares how he started in the music industry. “Well, it’s been eight years and I didn’t see it myself that it would be that long. It’s been a ride for me doing all of these TV shows before, The Voice Kids Philippines when I was very young as well.” Since childhood, he is determined to carve out a path that is uniquely his, and Zack believes that all his knowledge on performing live was a fruit of his hard work throughout his eight-year career.

When asked about his relationship with music, the OPM artist says, “It’s pretty much my life.” At present, he has a lot of international tours on the horizon as he aims on sharing his music with a wider audience. However, before going full circle on his now successful career in the music industry, Zack shared that he started everything as a hobby. Now, it has become a job that he definitely values.

Zack started making music as a young kid who wanted to express his feelings to someone he liked at school. He even shared that his only goal back then was “to show off to friends that [he] can do shit, that [he] can make music.” Thus, it was always something significant in the life of the new-gen OPM artist, and the only thing that changes is the reason why he works hard for it.

“It doesn’t matter if it’s one out of 10,000 people who listen to this song. As long as I help one person out of these people, it’s a job well done for me.”

Zack Tabudlo on his new inspiration in writing songs

Most of his songs talk about heartbreak, love, and loss, and all of which are based on the artist’s past experiences. “All of the songs I’ve released are all written by me and all of these are [written based on] personal experiences.” For some, it may be as simple as storytelling, but Zack defines writing songs as his therapy. Based on his story, the artist explains, “I got into a state where I can just make music comfortably, where I can write out of nowhere and just put out emotions from the past and present, and in an instant, I can write a song with paper or just with my phone.”

Having that kind of inner peace was even more expressed through Zack’s latest single titled “Diba.” Written, produced, and performed by the young artist, this song marks a comeback to his old-school genre. He shares that this was based on a story that happened a few years ago, about a past relationship that he went through.

Throughout the conversation with MEGA Entertainment, we noticed how determined he is to continue proving his place in the OPM industry. With each piece of music he produces, Zack is guided by his sense of purpose. “I always wanted to bring out to people how they can put their feet in the shoes that I’ve been using.” With that, one thing’s for sure—there’s no stopping Zack to continue this meaningful journey in the years to come.
