A culmination of the summer body issue, MEGA Man and EuphoriaMaxx throwed a hip, happening, and humidity-be-damned party at The Island that celebrated fashion, fitness and finally, the roster Best Bodies of 2018.
Right in the middle of the sprawling Palace complex stood the newly renovated The Island, an oasis complete with lush greenery, themed cabanas and of course, glistening pools of water that served as a respite to the uncharacteristic warmth last night. A perfect backdrop for a thumping summer party, it played host to the MEGA Man X EuphoriaMaxx Best Bodies 2018 party.

A culmination of sorts for the month’s focus on fashion and fitness, it was not only a celebration of the best bodies but of each and everyone’s goal of being their best selves. Decked out in their personal interpretations of the night’s athleisure dress code, guests were treated to an eternal summer shindig with free-flowing drinks, fantastic get-off-your-bum music by DJ Rammy Bitong, and naturally, many opportunities to take selfies, OOTDs and all sorts of memory encapsulation.

The party drummed up to fever pitch when host Bianca Guidoti opened the program, who eventually paved the way for a series of fashion shows that burned the tracks of the runway. First, a segment highlighting the Cosmobody, Cosmocee and Fibermaxx products of EuphoriaMaxx, which was a mix of casuals, retro-sportswear and slick black ensembles. Picking up from where that left off, Bang Pineda showed us what he does best—unadulterated and unapologetic street wear in denim, pops of color, and of course, his signature statement shirt. A fitting teaser to what is to come, the designer and stylist shares to us exclusively that he is coming up with a new collection (available on his website), a fashion show (on June 24) and something else so juicy we can’t just share it yet. A clue? Our lips are sealed.
Finally, the night’s highlight took the entire space by storm as the cover stars of the April issue, the men deemed to have the best bodies by MEGA Man and EuphoriaMaxx conquered the stage one by one. Met with thunderous and deafening applause, David Licauco, Gab Lagman, Marco Gumabao, Kiko Estrada, Derrick Monasterio and Enzo Pineda are not only proofs of bodies sculpted to perfection, but of steely resolves and iron-clad discipline to go for a goal, work for it and keep on keeping on even well after the results were met. And that is what ultimately makes one the best, nothing more and nothing less.

The festivities continued well into the night with even more fashion, more fitness and yes, more fun. With spirits at a high, no one seemed to mind the heat after all. Clearly, everyone had a bang out, grand time and that was what mattered most.
