Multiple brands have already begun the Lunar New Year celebration with their latest collections
The 22nd of January is right around the corner, which means we’ve got another celebration coming our way: Chinese New Year. Though it may not be a holiday for everybody, it’s one of those events that is celebrated with a bang. It’s a holiday that a lot of brands partake in as they decorate their pieces in the culture’s style elements, especially their use of the striking red.
Since we’re inching closer to the celebration, we listed down fashion brands that honored the holiday with their Chinese New Year-inspired collections.
Gucci
In true Gucci fashion, their take on the holiday season in their collection had prints and patterns all over. Pleated skirts had vibrant flowers while spray paint-like rabbit prints decorated the jackets and coordinates—a literal nod to the Year of the Rabbit.
COS
Titled “The Arrival of Spring,” the collection was inspired by the freshness and optimism of the season. Their pieces range from basics like cardigans to oversized sweater vests done in vivid colors such as yellow, purple, and blue—almost like a full bloom bed of flowers.
Marni
Going for a dainty look, Marni also utilized rabbit prints in their collection in a more subtle way. Their use of pastels and knit will definitely hit a special spot for those who love a comfy yet stylish aesthetic.
Burberry
Compared to Gucci, Burberry’s take on the holiday is more on the edgy and playful side. They kept their sleek and structured silhouettes as rabbit monograms made their way through the collection that’s finished in black, white, and red.
Loewe
Ever so minimalist yet trendy, Loewe headed for a simple direction. A minimalist line design of the rabbit is plastered on shirts and sweaters while their line of bags was structured with bunny ears.
