Not only are they displaying Filipino representation in the fashion world and on the global stage, you could see Heart Evangelista adding Original Pinoy Music (OPM) in her Paris Fashion Week videos. Noypi – Bamboo

The fashion icon started her Paris Fashion Week documentation with Bamboo’s “Noypi,” a hit song by the OPM rock man. While the song was released in 2004, you could hear this song in practically every karaoke party today.

It was a smart move on Heart’s part as well to start off Paris Fashion Week with this song, as if to say, “Yes, I’m a Filipino here in Paris!” She began PFW with a sleek ponytail to show off the black turtle neck underneath a matching, cheetah print set. With the classic, bright red lips, the fashion icon was for sure a head turner, just like “Noypi’s” message echoing of Pinoy Pride as Heart walks down the streets of Paris.

The Day You Said Goodnight – Hale

Another recognizable OPM song meant for the heartbroken and one you’ve probably heard at least once in a battle of the bands, Heart uses this song in her Instagram reel for her Saint Laurent fashion show attendance.

It was definitely a music video-like moment for the fashion icon as she stepped out of the car in her dreamy, silk dress with cameras flashing from every direction. And those burgundy red lips? Heart for sure took breaths away in her stunning dress, kissing that day with a sweet goodnight.

Pusong Ligaw – Jericho Rosales

Next stop on the train to nostalgia is “Pusong Ligaw,” a song by no other than Jericho Rosales, Heart’s past lover.

Despite the breakup, the two are on good terms, as if the usage of his song wasn’t proof enough. With Heart’s slow motion clips, eyes looking directly at the camera in her glittering dress, the reel just makes you appreciate the song more. With the sun creating a halo effect behind her, you for sure won’t be lost looking for Heart.

Trip Mo, Trip Ko – Oblaxs

Taking a further trip down memory lane, the OGs will for sure recognize this song from the 2001 movie Trip where Heart Evangelista starred in. The movie is about a group of friends who enjoy a retreat to deepen their friendship.

It’s the perfect song to match her all black ensemble and her dark lips, her every step matching in time with the beat of the song like the baddie she is.

One – Heart Evangelista

Next was sung by the global fashion icon herself when she was just 19 years old, a full circle moment track for Heart especially with the lyric, “Dreams do come true.”

With the plaid blouse layered underneath a knitted sweater, the baby pink skirt and vibrant orange heels, it was definitely a youthful look for the fashion icon. It was as if Heart paused to take a moment and appreciate the dream coming true right before her.

Bebot – Black Eyed Peas

Hips swaying, heels clicking, hair blowing, look slaying, Heart was practically bopping and jumping at the sound of Black Eyed Peas’ “Bebot.”

While the fashionista was leaning into a more clean, minimalist look, her confidence and the little bounce she has with every step was just enough for everyone to turn their heads to Heart as if to say, “The Filipina has just arrived!”

Binibini – Zach Tabudlo

In the city of love wearing a tan dress that resembled a heart, the fashion icon embodied the featured love song: “Binibini.”

With the night settling and the Eiffel Tower glittering in the distance, Heart’s look had a romantic, date night feel to it. Her entrance, the lights, the dress—you just can’t take your eyes off the binibini in Paris.

Sa Susunod na Habang-buhay – Ben&Ben

In another series of slow motion clips, she shows off her all white ensemble with a billowing white cape behind her, adding a flair of drama, just like the featured Ben&Ben song.

Although the song contained heartbreaking lyrics and a mellow melody, Heart’s smile was pure, as if hoping that this dream of hers will come true in another lifetime. And you know what? I hope so, too.

Elesi – Rivermaya

With another feel-good OPM song by Rivermaya, Heart documents her gorgeous Parisian look paired with high heeled boots. The layers and the leather bag, the confidence radiating off her with every step, and all the cameras pointed at her with Rivermaya’s guitar scoring in the background. Every moment, every scene was giving small country girl stepping into the big city, carrying the pride of her culture on her shoulders.

Cherry on Top – BINI

OPM isn’t complete without P-Pop, and joining Heart’s playlist is BINI’s latest single, “Cherry on Top.” This is a perfect song to compliment the fashion icon’s fun, colorful, and dazzling ensemble with her dark cherry lips and a classic wet hair look.

Matching the fun, bubblegum pop beats, Heart wore a gray top and layered it with a stunning bolero with gold trimmings. She also wore a teal pencil skirt, knee-high boots, and accessorized with a Louis Vuitton Capucine bag, and mixed both silver and gold for her rings, bracelets, and earrings—the perfect cherry to top off her dazzling look.
