Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray and Miss Grand International 2016 1st runner-up, Nicole Cordoves graced the Binibining Pilipinas 2021 coronation night as hosts. The two queens were the first all-female hosting tandem in the pageant’s history, and it was a remarkable one. Everyone who watched the pageant seem to agree as both women trended in social media platforms last night.
Truly, even after postponements, Binibining Pilipinas 2021 is worth the wait not only for the aspiring beauty queens, but also to the fans. Thanks to Catriona and Nicole for making this night extra memorable and fun because of their witty antics from Nicole’s “hair flip” to Catriona’s unmatched energy, here are the iconic moments of the duo that everyone’s been talking about.
Stunning Looks
Aside from the the evening gowns of the contestants, the hosts’ wardrobe changes were also a hot topic, specifically these two looks:
Celebrity makeup artist, Jelly Eugenio, shared photos of Catriona Gray and Nicole Cordoves’ makeup looks at the coronation night. He chose a strong bold red lip for Catriona with her pulled up hair with bangs, done by Brent Sales. Meanwhile Jelly chose a bronze hue for Nicole, and her long wavy locks was done by Paul Nebres.
As for the gowns, Catriona wore a Jaggy Glarino creation, while Nicole wore sculpted corset, a collaboration between Studio Haring and Just Bonita.

Catriona hosted the event as though it wasnβt 9:30pm in the evening! She exuded just the right amount of energy to get the viewers excited. People lauded Catriona for this, with many saying that this was how hosting a beauty pageant should be done.

Nicole’s Hair Flip
Nicole Cordoves caught the attention of a fan on Sunday, July 11 with a perfectly-timed hair flip. What happened was that Nicole, flipped her hair right before introducing one of the judges, CNN Philippines anchor Pinky Webb. The clip quickly became viral on social media, because fans recognized this gesture as reminiscent of Webbβs hair flip moment during an interview with Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
