Daniel Padilla Should Work With These Actresses

Daniel Padilla Should Work With These Actresses

While Daniel Padilla is working on his next movie, will projects with these five actresses happen in the future?

Today, the entertainment industry is in its era of breaking boundaries by shaking the norms that the audience has known. This year, Daniel Padilla joins the list of stars who are shifting their careers away from what he and his supporters are used to. And as the actor moves forward towards a path he dares to walk alone, a new leading lady can be in the picture. With that, here are the actresses we want him to work with.

Gabbi Garcia

Yet another Kapamilya and Kapuso crossover, Gabbi and Daniel have something in common that their audience will love—music. Sharing a level of appreciation for the subject, recording their own soundtrack can even be their edge for their possible project. As self-proclaimed old souls, they can even do duets of songs from the past. Having once worked in a commercial together, we definitely have our fingers crossed for this to happen again.

Julia Montes

Before DJ found his solid partner in Kathryn, he was first paired up with Julia Montes in 2010 for Gimik. With more than a decade of experience in their respective projects, it’s high time we see Daniel and the actress back together on screen. It goes without saying that drama has become the expertise of both stars, so a twist of action will have the audience at the edge of their seats. Although the idea of pairing them up for a romantic narrative will relive their good old days, having them play as enemies will be much more exciting.

Barbie Forteza

Historical fiction is nothing new to both Barbie and DJ with Maria Clara at Ibarra and Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo as part of their previous projects. With a history as vast and colorful as the Philippines’, there’s always something that the stars can retell for their young and young-at-heart audiences. A period drama-romance can even be possible, and they could do a retelling of the 2014 television series Ikaw Lamang

Judy Ann Santos

Versatility is a quality that both actors share, and that is also one of the reasons behind the longevity of their careers. Bringing them into one project will have fans expecting a good cry for a possible confrontational scene. But if they want to surprise their audience, the comedy genre is the way to go. Their comical banter is definitely something to look forward to in the future.

Nadine Lustre

Last but not definitely not least, the list won’t be complete without another name who knows the ropes around love teams. But even if they have a shared experience for on-screen romance, it would be refreshing to see them tackle a horror narrative or even a magic realism story. In the past, both actors have expressed their genuine appreciation towards each other’s careers. “Ang rak en rol niya,” DJ once said about her. Though Nadine was hesitant to work with him to keep the peace between fandoms, the turn of events in the industry could also, hopefully, change her mind.
