Any guesses on who will stand in between Donny and Belle’s romance on their newest teleserye, Can’t Buy Me Love?
Just when you think you can’t get more excited for DonBelle’s newest teleserye, you will! After dropping a teaser trailer on the premise of Can’t Buy Me Love, ABS-CBN finally revealed the talented actors joining Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan for their primetime debut. Together with the cast reveal, they also gave us a glimpse of the cast’s lines with their script reading.

In the video shared by the ABS-CBN Entertainment, the stars were introduced along with their character names. Of course, eagle-eyed fans already knew what this meant—guessing the roles of each character! With that, MEGA Entertainment rounds up the possible story arcs of the figures who will be with Bingo and Caroline for their journey to life and love.
A complicated family affair
Majority of the revealed cast members belong to the Tiu clan, where Belle’s character, Caroline, is a member of. Based on the line sneak peek of the roles, there is already tension brewing between the Tius. Rowell Santiago as Wilson Chavez Tiu serves as the patriarch of the family. Aside from Santiago, Agot Isidro and Ruffa Gutierrez will play Cindy Young Tiu and Gina David Tan, respectively. “Ako [ang] legal wife!” Isidro teased, hinting more plot lines that we have to look forward to.
Meanwhile, Kaila Estrada, Albie Casiño, Joao Constancia, and Maris Racal will take on the roles of the younger batch of Tius. In the teaser trailer, we already got a glimpse of Kaila as Bettina Young Tiu. Although we have yet to see Albi, Joao, and Maris as their parts in Can’t Buy Me Love, we are looking forward to their filial chemistry on screen! The question still stands, though. How does Caroline see them, and vice-versa? How do the Tius handle their relationships, especially that for them, these are both personal and professional?
A comedic side to things
As shown on the teaser, Donny as Bingo lives a different life from Caroline. He is out and about in the streets, working. For him, all he wants is to keep his family alive and happy. The hustle and bustle of Bingo is there, but what keeps him afloat is the women in his life. First on the list is Lola Nene, played by veteran actress Nova Villa. Apart from her, we also have Karina Bautista and Vivoree Esclito as part of Bingo’s world. Unlike the tense dialogues and serious conversations of Caroline’s family, their lines are more humorous and light. A slight comedy never hurt a romantic-drama teleserye, right?
Besides the mentioned cast, we also have Darren Espanto and Celeste Legazpi joining the roster of talents for the series. The two were also mum on their roles, but what if Darren is Donny’s rival? As of now, all we can do is sit back, relax, and wait until then to finally meet the new set of characters that we will love, hate, and empathize in Can’t Buy Me Love.
